This month’s tournament will be held Saturday, November 15th on Lake Austin, launching from the 360 Bridge ramp. Tournament starts promptly at 6:30 AM, and finishes at 2:00 PM. Please arrive 15 or 20 minutes early to pay your entry fee, and your dues if you haven’t yet paid them before the tournament begins. There’s usually too much going on during the weight in to keep track of payments, so the Treasurer has asked all participants to settle up prior to fishing. Tournament fee is $40 per team.

Lake Austin is not a slot lake, so each member of the team can keep up to 5 fish over 14 inches. Jimmy Mathison will be Tournament Director.

The club held its October 2008 tournament on Fayette County Reservoir on October 11, 2008 from 7 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Fayette is a slot lake, so fish from 14-25 inches cannot be kept. Club rules prohibit fish smaller than 12 inches, leaving only 12-14 inches as “keepers”. Fishing was good, several members caught very nice 5lb. fish which were fun, but didn’t count. All your fish being too big is a good problem to have! Ken and Chris managed a full stringer of little guys each to win. The fish on this
lake were nice and fat, and Josh once again takes away Big Bass with his 1.62 lb. 13 7/8″ fish.

Results

  1. Ken Anderson and Chris Carpenter with 12.98lbs
  2. Joe Frey and Jerry Mathison with 9.35lbs
  3. Jim Deiso and James Piper with 8.20 lbs
